Payment Practices
Payment Practices
Course fees are generally paid at the time of registration. After registration, the system guides you to select a payment method, and the fee can be paid online via standard online payment or Smartum online payment.
If payment is not made at the time of registration (for example, when registering by phone), a payment link will be sent to the provided email address. If the fee is not paid by the due date, a paper invoice will be sent by post via an external billing service.
Please note that advance payment is not possible for some courses.
Course fees are set per course and vary depending on the costs of organising the course. Participants are responsible for acquiring the necessary tools and learning materials unless otherwise stated in the course information.
Registrations will not be accepted from participants who have outstanding course fees.
Discounts on Course Fees
The following discounts are granted on the standard course fee:
- Unemployed: 30 %
- Full-time students: 30 %
- Pensioners: 15 %
To receive a discount, studies must be full-time, and unemployed applicants must have an active job search status.
Refunds and Cancellations
Course fees are not refunded if a participant discontinues their studies for personal reasons or fails to attend classes. Absences do not reduce the course fee, and missed sessions cannot be compensated by attending another course.
Course fees are refunded only if the course does not take place.
If a course is interrupted during the term due to reasons beyond the institute’s control, the course fee will not be refunded.
For weekly study groups or individual music lessons lasting the entire course year, one session per term may be cancelled due to teacher illness without a replacement session. If more sessions are cancelled, a substitute teacher will be arranged or the sessions will be made up later. Participants will be informed separately in such cases.
Course Places and Billing Information
Course places are personal and cannot be transferred to another person during absences.
For participants under 18, the guardian’s billing details must be provided at the time of registration. If an employer is paying the course fee, the employer’s billing details must be provided.
Payment Reminders and Debt Collection
Debt collection of course fees is handled by Intrum. A reminder fee of €5 will be added to payment reminders, along with late interest in accordance with the Interest Act.
