Art School Purje groups

The aim of the shared studies in basic education in the arts is to acquire the basic skills of the art form. The aim of the thematic studies in basic education in the arts is to deepen and broaden visual arts thinking and expression.

Instruction at Craft School Purje takes place in the visual arts classrooms of Pitkäkari School. 

Raahe Institute

Raahe Institute (Raahe-opisto) operates in the City of Raahe and the Municipality of Pyhäjoki. The institute provides non-formal education and promotes lifelong learning. Courses are available for people of all ages in subjects such as music, visual arts, literature, crafts, languages, physical education, and many other topics.

In addition to two full-time teachers and the principal, the institute employs approximately 85 hourly-paid teachers and lecturers. The staff also includes two administrative secretaries.
