Course fees at the Raahe Institute can be paid using the following employee benefits:

• Smartum
• ePassi
• Edenred

Sports and cultural benefits are personal and may only be used by the beneficiary.

Which courses can the benefit be used for?

According to the Finnish Tax Administration guidelines, sports and cultural benefits cannot be used for:

• participation fees for degree-oriented education
• food-related courses
• IT courses
• language courses
• courses in social sciences

Payment during registration

During registration, only Smartum online payment can be used. Other benefits can be used via mobile applications or paper vouchers.

Please note that for some courses payment using sports and cultural benefits is not possible. In such cases, the online payment option is not available.

Payment via mobile app or vouchers

If you wish to pay remotely using a mobile app, please contact customer service in advance to ensure that the payment can be allocated to the correct invoice.

Cash and paper voucher payments are handled at the city cashier office:

Brain Center is open on weekdays from 9:00 to 12:00.

Refunds

Course fees paid with sports and cultural benefits are not refunded and cannot be exchanged for cash.

An exception applies if the Raahe Institute cancels a course. In this case, the amount paid with the benefit will primarily be credited towards another course or refunded to the benefit service balance.
